Samhita
Samhita ( IAST : Samhity; Devanagari : संहिता) jest zbiorem tekstów i określenie to odnosi się szczególnie do mantry tekstach czterech Wed w hinduizmie . Jego tłumaczenie to: kolekcja, kolekcja. Tych mantr można używać podczas rytuałów, znajdujących się w wierszach lub w hymnach. Z mantr tych wypływają różne pieśni wedyjskie; samhitapatha to nazwa ciągłej recytacji. Jednak na przestrzeni wieków w tytułach pojawiały się teksty noszące imię Samhita.
